Rules & Procedures
ExpectationsStudents at Dundee Elementary School are expected to ROW like a Viking by demonstrating the following qualities:
o R espect o O wnership o W ise Choices Holding all students accountable to these rules will provide a safe and rich learning environment! |
I use Bloomz as both a behavior management system as well as a main source of communication. Bloomz is an app that is 100% free and can be used from any smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer. At Move-In Night, you will receive a code to join our classroom. This will create a free account where you can see pictures and videos that I post, message me instantly, and see what your child has earned points for throughout the day!

KOALA Folders
Students will be responsible for bringing their KOALA (Keep Organized and Learn Always) Folder home every night and returning it to school every day. This is a communication tool that will bridge the connections from home to school. Please be sure to incorporate checking this into your daily routine. Any notes from me or the school will be in the folder, so it is critical to check this on a daily basis. Thank you for your support!
You will find the following things in the KOALA Folders:
Birthday Celebrations
Unfortunately, birthday celebrations will be unable to happen this year due to Covid-19.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the APR (students serve themselves) and eat in the classroom.
Lunch
Our lunch and recess is from ------. Students may choose to purchase a lunch using money or they can bring a sack lunch. If you choose to send in lunch money, please send it in a sealed envelope or baggie with your child's first and last name and the amount written on the front. Until further notice, first grade students will eat lunch in the classroom.
Snack
We will have a daily time allotted for students to eat a snack. Each student should bring one small, healthy snack to school every day (be sure it is something that can keep in a locker most the day!). We do not have a supply of napkins, spoons, etc. so please provide these for your child if needed. Some good choice ideas: a piece of fruit, veggies, pretzels, crackers, or cheese. (No soft drinks for snack or lunch, per school rules.)
Specials
Dundee Elementary School has four specials classes: Art, Computers, Music, and Physical Education. For P.E., students will need to wear appropriate clothing and have gym shoes with them. This year, the specials teachers will be coming into the classroom to give instruction.
